How can I transfer my original Everio MediaBrowserBE program from an old PC onto the new one? I still have my JVC GZ-R315DE camcorder.

Answer by Robert Polubinski

Everio MediaBrowser is one of the applications that are distributed only on CDs and with their products. Moving it to the other PC involves in using the same CD to install it, or if it works, use a USB flash drive and transfer it this way. Copy the entire folder from the old PC (usually located on the C drive in Program files) and then copy it back to the same location on the new PC, if you don't have the setup package.

Additionally, on the old PC, go to Start > Run > regedit and expand the LOCAL_Machine > Software until you find the Everio app. Right-click the folder and choose Export. Transfer the REG file to the new PC and double click it. Restart the PC and the software should work, but be cautious because some features might not work this way.

Will this software be compatible with a JVC Everio I bought in 2009 (JVC Everio HD Camcorder model GZ-MG334HEK)?

R
Answer by Robert Polubinski

Yes, this software will work with your device, but you need a certain version that's compatible with the GZ series camcorders. Also, you need to check the release year for your device and then you can download the correct version of the software since there are many released for different series and years.

Once you get the year, visit the page below and click on the corresponding version. Note that the MediaBrowser is not a free product. In most of the cases it's delivered with the device on the CD-ROM, otherwise you'll have to buy it.

An exclamation mark in an orange circle appears on every piece of footage I've uploaded, which means I can't transfer them to any location from my computer. How can I fix this behavior?

L
Answer by Leonard Moore

This problem was discussed on several forums like Help2Go. It seems that updating the program version to a newer release fixed the problem for some users. To do this, just visit the official download page and download the latest update. After you install it, try transferring your pictures. If you face the same behavior, contact the developer for additional support on the site mentioned.

Yes, you can use this application to create and edit videos in a basic way. Adobe Premier is an advanced video editor that uses powerful features to edit and create videos. Everio MediaBrowser offers standard editing and creation tools to manipulate videos from your Sony device.

Can you add a song to 1 or 2 scenes only? If so then how? Or can you only add music to the whole video?

J
Answer by Julia Bocchetta

The Everio MediaBrowser application doesn't allow you to add songs to each slide. You can add only one track to the whole video. However, the software allows you to import videos and most of the videos have their own sound stream. Make sure to mute the videos streams and then add your audio file. If you want an application that allows you to add multiple audio files for your slides, then you can try ProShow Producer.

I recorded 4 hours at the EP setting. To my surprise, the camera or program split it into 2 two hour segments. Then, when I tried to write one 2 hour segment to a 16 gig disc, it said that there was not enough room.

This camera is unacceptable unless it can record 4-6 hours, and put at least 4 hours on a disc. The model camera is JVC GZ-E10.

The advice is to lower the recording settings. You might not kill the quality but you will have a decent file size which you can use later to burn it to a disc.

I'm unable to add music from any file (i.e. iTunes) within Windows 8 program. When music file destination opens, it shows no content to open and download. Is there any solution for this problem?

L
Answer by Leonard Moore

When you open the file destination to add music, make sure that the all files option is selected at the file extension field. This way, all your music will be displayed no matter the file type. If your problem still persists, visit the support website in order to find out more or contact the developer.
